When the delayed door lock feature is on and you press the lock button when one of the doors is open the locks will wait until all the doors are closed delay for a few seconds and then lock.

Removing a cylinder door lock.
The latch plate is the small piece of metal held in place on the edge of the door by two screws.
Get the new relay out of its package.
Install the new door lock relay.
Using a diagram locate the door lock relay.
Once the door is no longer connected to the frame you ll be able to slip it out of the opening and remove the lock from the interior side.
Use a hammer and center punch to drive out the hinge pins if they are accessible.
Once this is removed a locksmith can re key this for you.
Remove the latch plate.
A bar or bolt that goes into the striker plate of the door to secure or lock it.
If you want to keep the lock handle and trim on a door but need to have the lock changed you can just replace the cylinder inside a pin and tumbler lock.
